The board of directors of the European Fishing Tackle Association (Eftta) has unanimously decided on Brussels as the venue for the 2014 edition of Efttex, the European angling show. The Belgian capital, which already hosted the fair in 2006, beat off competition from Amsterdam, Budapest, Warsaw and Birmingham, mainly for cost reasons. This year's edition is scheduled to take place in Vienna. In contrast with previous years, the 2014 fair will run from Thursday to Saturday, between June 12 and 14, eliminating Sunday, which is traditionally a quiet show day.
