The Correctional Court of Bayonne has ordered Volcom's European subsidiary in nearby Anglet to pay fine of €150,000 for evasion of French taxes in 2008 and 2009. A spokesman for Kering, which acquired the American boardsports brand in 2011, said it will pay the fine although the offense occurred prior to the takeover.
