The ECF/Cycling Industry Club has received a €2 million subsidy from the European Commission to be spent on a study of the effects of cycling on urban mobility and city-congestion. The announcement was made at the Advocacy Summit in Friedrichshafen on August 27. The meeting was held during the 2015 edition of Eurobike, which took place in the German town on August 26-29. Also at the Advocacy Summit, the Cycling Industry Club welcomed seven new members including Extra Energy, Flanders Bike Valley, Lease Rad Germany, DHS Romania, Eurasia Bike Fair, Turkey and Manufacture Française du Cycle. The seven new members have brought the total membership in the Cycling Industry Club to 39.
