The European Cyclists' Federation (ECF) and the International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) have announced that their partnership to promote the benefits of active lifestyle across Europe has been awarded a €1 million grant from the European Union budget. The grant is to be used for the upcoming Oct. 7-13 edition of Move Week, an annual event within the 2012-2020 NowWeMove Campaign to promote physical activity in Europe. Move Week 2013 will see the participation of a wide range of promoters including individuals, non-governmental organizations, schools, companies and municipalities from all European countries. The ECF will encourage cities, cycling businesses and cycling groups to use the NowWeMove Campaign to show the importance of regular and recreational cycling to physical activity and public health. The NowWeMove Campaign is coordinated by ISCA in collaboration with ECF. ISCA, based in Copenhagen, is a global platform open to organizations working within the fields of sport for all, recreational sports and physical activity, with members from 65 countries.
