The Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (Fesi) and the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) are among the European and international organizations that have jointly addressed a letter to the Cambodian government, in which they raise concern about the country's labor and human rights situation. The letter refers, in particular, to the threat represented by the European Union's (EU) February 11 decision to review Cambodia's Everything But Arms (EBA) benefits, and the recently introduced legislation in the U.S. Congress to review Cambodia's Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) benefits, which the signatories of the letter consider to be worrying developments for companies that value sourcing from Cambodia, and for the millions of Cambodians who work in the industry. Besides Fesi and WFSGI, the signatories of the letter include: American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA), amfori, European Branded Clothing Alliance (EBCA), Fair Labor Association (FLA), Fair Wear Foundation (FWF), and Social Accountability International (SAI).
