The first-ever Snowboard D-Day will take place at select European snow resorts on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006. Sponsored by EuroSIMA, the European boardsports industry manufacturers association, the event will feature snowboarding lessons, product testing, snowboard demos, contests, concerts and parties, all open to the general public. EuroSIMA plans to make it an annual opening season event. Snowboard-related institutions, federations, associations, brands, professionals and volunteers are all expected to participate.
