The German sporting goods industry association (BSI), which hosted the second European Outdoor Summit (EOS) on Lake Tegernsee on Oct. 15-16, has reported a successful finish to the event. It was attended by some 300 delegates from the brand, retail and service sectors, including some who are only marginally interested in the outdoor segment. Initiated by the European Outdoor Group (EOG), the EOS takes place in a different country every year. It was hosted by the Scandinavian Outdoor Group in Stockholm last year, and it will be hosted by the Outdoor Industries Association in Sheffield, England, next year. Please read The Outdoor Industry Compass for full coverage of the EOS.
