The government of Brazil has sent a delegation to Indonesia to determine whether the country has a market economy and to check out any relations that local shoe producers may have with Chinese producers. Opponents of the current anti-dumping duties on Chinese shoes have in fact proposed Indonesia as the market-economy analog country instead of Italy. The government is expected to make a decision to abolish, extend or amend the anti-dumping duties in November, but it may postpone it for up to 60 additional days on technical grounds.
