The Hohenstein Group has announced the development of HOSYcan, the next generation of its compression testing device. HOSYcan is said to allow for accurate compression measurements during movement, and to measure the interaction between different materials. Compression garments, which are widely used in the sports and medical sectors, typically come with a defined level of compression. According to Hohenstein, however, until now these values were inaccurate when measuring compression levels during movement. The interaction between different materials can have unpredictable effects on compression. The HOSYcan is meant to provide objective measurement values as well as analysis for compression garment product development, Hohenstein says. Interested parties will be able to learn more about the new HOSYcan device at the upcoming Outdoor Retailer show in Denver, on Jan. 25-28, at booth #30077-UL.
