The integration between Sport Zone and JD Sprinter in Iberia is moving ahead, with several of the Portuguese retailer's stores in Spain reportedly having adopted the green color of the Sprinter retail brand. This comes after JD Sprinter and Sport Zone completed an Iberian tie-up earlier this year under a small majority ownership of JD Sports Fashion. CMD Sport reports that nine of the 23 Sport Zone stores in Spain have already switched from the Portuguese retailer's orange to green, including two of the largest stores in Barcelona and Madrid. But the change is inside the stores, while they continue to trade with Sport Zone's orange banner. The publication adds that two Spanish stores have been closed in the commercial centers of Puerto Venecia in Zaragoza and Islazul in Madrid. The integration has moved ahead in terms of governance as well, although the details could not be confirmed at the time of writing.
