The International Olympic Committee has picked Beyond Sport to help support its own Sport for All Commission in the months leading up to the 15th IOC World Conference on Sport for All, being held next April in Lima, Peru. This commission of the IOC will celebrate 30 years in 2013; it was created to help inform the public of the health and social benefits of sports. Beyond Sport is the central point of a network spanning 135 countries that examines programs using sport as a tool to deal with such issues as health, unemployment, gang violence and education. In this partnership with the IOC, it will help with the development of the world conference and in picking out the winners of the Sport for All grants.
