The International Ski Federation (FIS) has been hit by a lawsuit filed in a Swiss court in Bern by the Austrian ski manufacturing company recently set up by Sport 2000 International following its refusal to allow Fischer from putting the Sport 2000 brand name on skis worn in the ski jumping competitions. In the suit, Sport 2000 requests immediate action to restore its rights. It charges FIS for abuse of dominant position and for discrimination, showing evidence that FIS has made exceptions to its stringent guidelines for several other firms.
