The Lafuma group's sales expanded faster in its third quarter, driven by a 10.6 percent rise in foreign revenues. The momentum is expected to continue in the fourth quarter and in the first quarter of the company's 2012 fiscal year, owing to a significant increase in orders. In the third quarter ended June 30, the group booked a 2.8 percent rise in sales to €43.8 million, compared with a 1.4 percent increase to €122.4 million in the first six months of the fiscal year The quarterly turnover was driven by the mountain division, comprising Millet and Eider, up by 27.4 percent to €10.0 million, and the country division, represented by Le Chameau, up by 14.4 percent to €3.7 million. The surf segment, featuring Oxbow, continued to weigh on the top line's performance by falling 8.3 percent to €9.4 million. The greater outdoor division including the Lafuma brand was down by 2.7 percent to €20.8 million, reversing the positive trend booked in the first half thanks to a strong second quarter (more in the Outdoor Industry Compass).
