The latest edition of Surf Expo, scheduled for Sept. 5-7, and its pre-show outdoor festival Waterfest, scheduled for Sept. 4, were cancelled. Both were to be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, which at the time was under threat from Dorian, the hurricane that ravaged the Bahamas, but finally spared Florida to a large extent. Surf Expo is held twice annually, in January and September, and is purportedly the largest and longest-running boardsports and beach/resort lifestyle trade show in the world. The next edition is scheduled for Jan. 8-10 at the same venue.
