The NBA and FIBA Europe are partnering up to increase the awareness of basketball com-petitions in Europe. The multi-year deal includes EuroBasket Men and Women in 2011 and 2013. Part of the efforts will include clinics for referees and coaches, and the two groups will use the internet to spread the word about basketball in Europe. The first step of the partnership is a deal signed with the Lithuanian Basketball Federation to help promote EuroBasket 2011, which is being held in Lithuania from Aug. 31 to Sept. 18.
