The organizers of Fibo the international trade show for fitness, wellness and health – have announced a new concept for the 2018 edition of the show. The event, which is scheduled to take place at the Exhibition Centre in Cologne from April 12-15, will offer an expanded trade visitor program across all the four days of the show, as well as Silence Slots aimed at enabling exhibitors to talk business in a peaceful environment. According to the organizers of the show, more than 82 percent of the exhibition space for the upcoming edition has already been booked, with around 1,100 companies which will be exhibiting at the show. The other features of the 2018 edition include an additional information hub at the Wellness & Beauty area and an expanded education and training program featuring a new Academy format. The education and training program will include lectures about nutrition, motivation, medical fitness and other themes, as well as practice-oriented master classes with international coaches and new group fitness concepts. The participants in the education and training sessions will be able to earn education credits recognized by selected institutions and associations. Also, a new area specially designed for new businesses, in Hall 5.2, will welcome start-ups and innovative companies. In this area, young business owners and potential company founders will have a chance to get advice from consultants, banks, insurance companies and franchisors. Finally, Fibo 2018 will offer physiotherapists a series of special events, such as “Physio at Work” by the German Academy of Applied Sports Science (DAASM). The Physio Day will be multilingual, and physiotherapists will also benefit from a new networking event at the “Meeting Point Physiotherapy.” Last April Fibo attracted more than 150,000 visitors, of which 83,000 were trade visitors. The 2018 edition will kick off on April 12 with the 5th European Health & Fitness Forum, a meeting of about 400 representatives of the European fitness sector.
