The protracted winter weather in Europe and the U.S. did not prevent Adidas Golf from reaching record sales of golf shoes in the first quarter of this year, with significant sales increases and higher market shares in the U.S., the U.K. and Japan, says TaylorMade-Adidas Golf, thanks largely to the launch of the ultralight golf version of the Adizero in January. Adidas reached the second place in the American golf shoe market in February. Researchers have given the brand market shares of 25.6 percent in the U.K. and 30 percent in Japan.
