The R&A and Golf New Zealand have announced that they are forming a strategic partnership with DotGolf, an international provider of golf technology solutions. The partnership will see The R&A and Golf New Zealand take a 50 percent equity stake in DotGolf. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, DotGolf was formed in 1999 to provide software, systems and other tech solutions for golfers, golf clubs, and golf organizations. Following the new agreement, the current chief executive of Golf New Zealand, Dean Murphy, will step down from that role to become chief executive of DotGolf. Murray Ward will continue in his role as chairman of DotGolf, while The R&A and Golf New Zealand will both have two directors on the company’s board.
