The summer edition of Ösfa, the Austrian sporting goods trade show, will take place four weeks earlier than usual next year, running from July 22 through July 24. At its latest session on Aug. 21-23, the fair recorded 70 exhibitors and the number of its visitors declined to 1,756 from 2,612. Bike & Trimm, a trade show dedicated to the cycling and fitness business, got 82 exhibitors and 2,432 visitors last Sept. 16-18, and its schedule will not change. Meanwhile, the organizer of these and other events, Brandboxx Salzburg, is changing management: Robert Bolland, who has served as its managing director in charge of project development since 2007, will leave in mid-January and return to his native country, the Netherlands, for personal reasons. The other managing director in charge of operations at the Salzburg show center, Thomas Lüftenegger, said that Bolland's successor is already known internally, but he was not willing to mention his or her name at this point. Bolland came in after the acquisition of the Salzburg trade show center by TCN Property Projects, a Dutch company that markets various shopping malls and real estate and runs B2B event centers such as the ones in Salzburg and Barcelona. The acquisition took place in 2007, but Bolland took the helm of the Austrian business one year later, succeeding Wolf-Dieter Kepplinger, the man who ran Ösfa for some 25 years and who passed away last year.
