The Willy Bogner group raised its sales by about 5 percent to €71.9 million for the first half of the current fiscal year, which will be ending this month, aided by strategic changes launched in 2016 and implemented since last November under the new leadership of Andreas Baumgärtner. This marks a return to growth for the German skiwear specialist, which has seen its sales dwindle steadily in recent years. They amounted to €151 million in 2017, down by 2.5 percent. Sales for the half-year were up by 3 percent in North America and by 7 percent in other European countries, with a rise of 4 percent in the German-speaking countries. Online sales expanded to make up about 20 percent of the company's sales. The Bogner licensing business improved at a double-digit rate. The demand firmed up in particular for the Fire & Ice brand, and the latest ranges have garnered a significant increase in orders for Bogner in the upcoming fall and winter seasons..
