The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry is a new member of the Fair Factories Clearinghouse, a New York-based nonprofit group that provides software to help companies collaborate on improving ethical sourcing and conditions in outsourced manufacturing. This way resources aren't wasted on repeatedly auditing the same factories again and again; the companies can pool their audits to ensure the facilities comply with standards. WFSGI will be represented on the clearinghouse's board by Robbert de Kock, the secretary general. The WFSGI and the Fair Factories Clearinghouse are preparing webinars to help members understand the tools available to them through this partnership.
