The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) has announced two new keynote speakers for the third WFSGI Manufacturers Forum, due to be held in Hong Kong on Dec. 2-3. Alex Thomas, vice president of supply chain and manufacturing/engineering strategy at VF Corporation, will cover topics around the reduction of labor-intensive production. Another speaker, Thomas Schmidt, will present a new 3D coating technology, called Haptic, that has been developed at his company, the Huafeng Textile Group. He previously worked for Adidas and Tiger Coatings. WFSGI recommends early registration for the convention, as the number of available seats is again limited at 200.
