A large industrial and logistics park is currently being constructed in the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region, in the Central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan. The park will feature three production sites for knitwear garments, knitted fabric and yarn, Fibre2Fashion has reported. The first to open will be an export-oriented garment factory with an annual production capacity of 2.1 million pieces, generating 800 jobs. This facility will launch at the end of 2023. A second unit producing up to 20 tons of knitted fabric daily, generating 300 jobs, is scheduled for opening in the first quarter of 2024. Finally, a spinning mill with a production capacity of up to 15 tons of thread per day is expected to start operating in the third quarter of 2025, employing around 150 people. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov recently visited the site, where 70 percent of the construction work has already been completed.
