Havaianas has become the first company in the footwear sector to license the digital showroom software of a Dutch firm called Hatch, whose product stems from developments at PVH Corp. in 2014. The developer calls it a “fully digital-guided wholesale selling experience.” It has enabled Havaianas to do away with samples and digitize the entirety of its 2021 selling season. Merel Werners, marketing director for EMEIA, says that Havaianas plans to build on the collaboration. Hatch has been offering the software as a cloud-based subscription service since January, and has since gotten a boost from the mass cancellation of trade shows over the Covid-19 pandemic. Other clients include Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein.
