The Better Cotton Conference in Malmö, Sweden, on June 22 and 23, has announced two of its keynote speakers: Balubhai Parmar and Lacy Vardeman. Parmar is a cotton grower from Gujarat, India, who leads an enterprising group of Better Cotton farmers that are all small enterprises. At the conference, he will share his knowledge on environmental, social and economical issues and chances for Indian cotton producers. Vardeman runs a bigger cotton farm in Texas and is the founder of the Sand Hills Area Recreation Association. Putting the light on the large farm perspective, she will focus on the challenges and opportunities of cotton farming in the U.S. The Better Cotton Conference brings together the entire industry sector with a focus on climate action and cotton.
