The Norwegian sporting goods show, Norspo, which was going to take place in Oslo on Jan. 9 and 10, has been cancelled like the one that was going to be held last January. Trond Evald Hansen, general manager of Norspomessen, is now betting that the new winter fair will take place in November. According to the organizers, many large and small potential exhibitors mentioned that the timeline for taking orders had changed to earlier dates, in line with earlier order windows being established in the major Asian production countries. Major sports retailers like the Coop, Sport 1, Intersport and Stadion have decided not to arrange a “meeting point” with suppliers in January due to the earlier order windows. Norspomessen is still planning to hold On Snow events in February and March. The summer edition of the Norspo trade show will be held sometime in May or June.
