The inaugural edition of the Padel Trend Expo will take place at Palazzo dei Congressi in Rome on Sept. 16-18, 2022. The event is organized by Next Group, an integrated communication group with its subsidiary Padel Trend Srl and in collaboration with the Italian Tennis Federation (FIT). The new event, which Next Group describes as “a real marketplace with both a B2B and B2C soul,” is meant to attract padel enthusiasts from all over the world alongside the leading operators in the industry, including manufacturers of rackets, clothing, shoes, balls and accessories, as well as courts and covering systems contractors, service suppliers and companies providing technologies and innovative solutions for padel clubs. During the three-day event, and thanks to the collaboration with the Italian Tennis Federation, the event will host live performances with the participation of international champions, VIPs and other special guests. Padel Trend Expo will also dedicate special areas for corporate workshops and one-to-one meetings. Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports internationally, including in Italy. In 2021, the number of clubs in the country increased by 126 percent compared to 2020, based on data from Osservatorio Mr Padel Paddle. Figures at the end of 2021 have also shown that the number of padel courts in Italy has grown nearly ten times in just four years.
