Visitors to the upcoming winter edition of Performance Days in Munich can look forward to some new features. These include a larger exhibition area, expanded from one to two halls, to accommodate the brand-new footwear segment. In addition to the new footwear area, the second hall will also house the Innovation Forum, the Trend Forum and the Sustainability Lounge.
For the first time, the organizers of the Performance Days will be putting the spotlight on the footwear segment alongside sustainable functional textiles and accessories at the winter event in Munich (Oct. 4-5). As a result, the trade show will no longer be held only in Hall A5 of the exhibition center in Riem but will be expanded to include an additional hall – A6.
Nina Conrad and Rucky Zambrano, two renowned industry specialists, have dedicated themselves to the topic of footwear and have not only created an exhibition area for shoes, but have also integrated a Footwear Forum into the event. Alongside this, the Innovation and Trend Forum will also be redesigned, offering visitors an inspiring insider’s overview of exhibitors’ materials, trends and innovations. The Sustainability Lounge, dedicated to sustainable trends and developments, has also been adapted accordingly. The program is rounded off by the Duke Gin & Tonic Bar and a Food Truck, the Outdoor Innovator Spotlight of the Utah State University Area with its own exhibition “History of Membranes and Waterproof materials from the archive”, the returning Expert Talks and the SAZsport sustainability conference “sustain & innovate.” According to show director Marco Weichert, to date, more than 380 exhibitors have already registered for the upcoming show.
Expert Talks and sustain & innovate
This winter, the fair will again offer the Expert Talks platform with an exciting program. As always, this includes the Fabric Talk with Alexa Dehmel, the Trend Talk with Nora Kühner as well as stimulating discussion rounds and lectures by experts. In addition to the Expert Talks, which will take place on the first day of the show (Oct. 4, 2023), the sustain & innovate conference by SAZsport on the second day of the show (Oct. 5, 2023) will focus on topics related to this year’s main theme, “Revolution and Evolution from the Carbon Story to Membranes.”
On the first evening of the show (Oct. 4), exhibitors and show attendees are invited to the Duke Gin & Tonic Bar for industry networking and chilling out during Happy Hour.
