The Padel World Summit – scheduled for May 20-26, 2024, in Málaga, Spain – has launched a beta version of its website and posted to it a 15-page brochure to outline the event. This introduces the summit’s organizer – the International Padel Cluster, a non-profit with a current membership of 95 companies and 130 brands – and lays out its three “pillars”: the Padel World Congress, the Padel Business Expo and Complimentary Activities. There will also be ten topics: news and trends, innovations and technology, opportunities and investments, regulations and approvals, management and logistics, sport and tourism, efficiency and sustainability, learning and development, health and wellness, and competitions and tournaments.

In an interview with Tradesport, managing director Alex Ponseti explains that the summit has chosen to hold its event in Málaga for its sun and sand and to accommodate a public more than half of which organizers expect will hail from abroad. The event will therefore be bilingual, in Spanish and English. The Business Expo, says Ponseti, will be pádel’s first B2B expo, with three courts at its center, B2B2C activities and talks. There will be events at the beach, a tournament for the professional circuit and the inaugural edition of the Padel Awards (best player, best sustainable business, best start-up, most innovative company, etc.). Ponseti affirms that the summit will be, above all, a B2B event, with manufacturers, brands and distributors of pádel equipment, courts, apparel, footwear and lighting in attendance, as well as pádel clubs, coaches, physical therapists, pro players, marketers, retailers, federations, associations, tournament promoters and investors. Ideally, Ponseti continues, the summit will draw 120 exhibitors and at least 3,000 visitors.
