The next edition of Fitur Sports will be taking place on Jan. 19 at IFEMA Madrid and addressing such matters as sporting events, training camps and sports holidays.

Organized in collaboration with the Spanish Sports Association (Afydad), the show bills itself as a meeting of the tourism and sports industries, not to mention sports marketing and sponsorships. By its reckoning, the global sports market will be worth $1.8 billion in 2030, while Spanish sports tourism grew by 36 percent from 2020 to 2021.

There will be six panel discussions:

  • Sports tourism as an engine of territorial, socioeconomic and sustainable development
  • Events, sponsorship and marketing of destinies
  • Communication and commercialization of sports tourism
  • Product development and sport-tourism experiences
  • The sportsperson’s vision
  • Sustainability and accessibility in sports tourism
