Regional sporting goods events in Switzerland, the Netherlands and Austria are gaining more importance for local buyers – at least for the preparation of the autumn/winter 2022/23 season – as the international ISPO Munich show has been permanently moved from the end of January to the end of November. In Switzerland, 70 companies representing more than 220 brands will show their collections at the sportsdays.ch by ISPO Munich, which has been organized for several months as an in-person event taking place on Dec. 13 and 14 in Zurich. In the Netherlands, a special Market Day will be held on Dec. 6 at the Sports Business Center in Leusden in advance of a regular Brand Event scheduled in the same permanent showroom center for Jan. 10. The level of contamination is currently very high in Austria, which is under a full-fledged lockdown through Dec. 13, but the traditional Austrian sporting goods show, ÖSFA, is still expected to take place at a similar venue in Salzburg on Jan. 18-20. As previously reported, its dates were moved forward from the end of February even before ISPO Munich’s announcement for a variety of reasons, including the impact of Covid-19 on the supply chain.
