Trerè Innovation, a big Italian knitwear manufacturer that works with Armani and Rossignol, is building a new research center at its headquarters in Asola. Called Areas – an acronym for Academy Research and Engineering for Apparel in Sports – the center is the result of a partnership with CeRiSM, the research institute for sports and health at the University of Verona. Its modern testing infrastructure will be spread over more than 3,500 square meters and contain a climate and wind tunnel, a 3D body scanner and a sports-medicine division. Trerè Innovation will be presenting its new products, materials and patents at the Ispo 2019 show in Munich this February. There will also be a micro-version of the Areas laboratory at the show.
