Apurva Bhargava, new Head of U.S. Operations

TrusTrace, a Swedish SaaS company that provides a product traceability and compliance platform for retail and fashion companies, has announced its first hire in the U.S. with the appointment of Apurva Bhargava as head of U.S. operations. Bhargava’s location in the U.S. will significantly impact TrusTrace’s global operations, enabling the company to strengthen relationships with new and existing customers in the region.

In 2022, TrusTrace gained significant momentum in the U.S., with the region accounting for a quarter of its 223 percent revenue growth and forecasts that by the end of 2023, the U.S. will account for one-third of global revenue. TrusTrace’s customers are predominantly large fashion brands seeking more effective ESG risk management and compliance across their large, international, and highly complex supply chains, and most are based in the U.S. Today, TrusTrace works with four of the top ten global footwear brands, three of the top ten global apparel brands, and one of the top ten global luxury fashion brands, with more to come.

This year, TrusTrace is focusing on the needs of U.S. brands in light of the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA), which requires them to assess their suppliers’ potential connection to forced labor to facilitate the transit of goods through U.S. ports without Withhold Release Orders (WROs). TrusTrace plans to innovate further in this area this year.

Before joining TrusTrace, Bhargava held various positions in the technology sector, most recently as regional sales director at HCL America.
