Finnish sustainable materials company Spinnova’s Board of Directors has appointed Tuomas Oijala as CEO, effective January 1, 2024. Oijala comes from a long and successful career at Kone Corporation, a Finnish industrial company listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange and one of the world’s four largest elevator and escalator manufacturers, in strategy, trading and business development. Most recently, he was Managing Director of Kone Denmark and is currently Senior Vice President for the global New Building Solutions business. CFO Ben Selby will continue to serve as interim CEO of Spinnova until Oijala assumes his new role. After that, Selby will continue to serve as deputy CEO and CFO.
