Twinner France has signed an agreement with ABN AMRO Commercial Finance that will allow all the affiliated French retailers in the Twinner and Pro du Sport to benefit from centralized settlements and invoicing for their 550 shops. Twinner France had broken one year ago a similar agreement with Garant Schuh, which is now integrated ANWR, the German group that is a shareholder and licensee of Sport 2000. The contract with ABN AMRO calls for a package of financial and management services. Twinner France, which was formerly called Technicien du Sport, comprises 180 stores carrying the Twinner banner. They have been working closely lately with the looser network of 320 stores affiliated with Pro du Sport, which operate under their own individual banners. Each of the two networks generates an annual turnover of around €100 million a year, with a goal to double in size in the medium term.
