With two trade show events for functional fabrics taking place in the U.S. and Europe, Performance Days Loops is almost back to a pre-pandemic status. The Functional Fabric Fair by Performance Days in Portland, Oregon, are held on April 4-5, while the spring/summer edition of the European show – the Performance Days – will be held as a hybrid event on April 27-28 in Munich as well as online.
The Performance Forum, which is part of the exhibition, premiered with two special product awards given out for sustainability and best functionality. The digital exhibitor Taiwan Axroma Technical Textile has been awarded for its fabric “Outdoor Mackintosh Air” made from spin-dyed polypropylene that offers good water resistance without lamination and has a PFC-free DWR. For its new “Mahogany” fabric, exhibitor Brookwood has received the new Eco Performance Award: the fabric is made from 47 percent recycled wool and 53 percent Tencel.
