Under Armour (UA) announced that following an extensive search and interview process, Shawn Curran, a retail industry veteran, will join the company as Chief Supply Chain Officer on Oct. 16, reporting to President and CEO Stephanie Linnartz. The U.S. sports brand created the position following the departure of its Chief Operating Officer (COO) Colin Browne in June and has since been searching for the right person for the job.
Curran has spent his more than 30-year career at Gap Inc. where he most recently served as chief operating officer of Old Navy, overseeing more than 44,000 employees in more than 1,200 stores and responsible for overall operations, inventory management and procurement. While at Gap Inc., Curran held various positions in the Gap portfolio, including COO and Head of Global Supply Chain for all seven Gap Inc. brands.
At UA, Curran will be responsible for end-to-end planning and go-to-market, product sourcing, manufacturing and quality, global supplier management, distribution and logistics, global customs and trade, warehousing and sustainability.
