The UEFA executive committee met in Paris on Feb. 7 and approved the “United for Success: UEFA Strategic Vision 2024-2030,” a roadmap to guide the organization and the wider European football community for the coming years. United For Success was created in consultation with national associations and by involving key stakeholder groups within European football.
The strategic priorities for 2024-2030 include:
- Being at the core of society
- Ensuring opportunities for all, from grassroots to elite
- Strengthening the game’s fundamentals
- Working together to the highest governance standards
- Organizing world-class competitions
- Maximizing the potential of women’s football
- Pursuing a culture of sustainability.
The new vision “aims for significant changes and progress across all areas of football in Europe,” explained UEFA. Progress will be measured by tracking specific programs and activities that align with the goals set out in the strategy document. UEFA will define measurable indicators under each strategic priority, which will be monitored and reported at regular intervals. Adjustments will be made on the way if necessary, said UEFA. A mid-term review will be conducted in 2027 to assess the status across every priority and related goals.
