Uhlsport reports an 11 percent sales increase for the first half of this year, driven by a 46 percent jump for its handball brand, Kempa. In Germany, where Uhlsport has been delivering a large selection of items and colors within 24 hours, sales grew by 18.5 percent, followed by lower double-digit increases in Scandinavia, Japan, Korea and the U.S. The outlook for the second half is said to be very positive, partly because Uhlsport will start with the Australian BLK brand in France, Germany and Sweden.
