Ulf Santjer, who has been in charge of Puma's corporate communications for more than two decades, is leaving the company as part of the re-organization of its global communications department. Santjer built up this entity as he accompanied Puma's rise, slump and rise again over the years, working under three chief executives and occasionally using some clever guerrilla marketing tactics. He is formally leaving at the end of July and has yet to decide on his next projects. Corporate communications, brand and product PR as well as employer branding will be brought together and headed up by Kerstin Neuber as senior head of communications. Neuber joined Puma in 2007 and was previously head of corporate communications. In her newly created function she reports to Adam Petrick, global director of brand marketing. Puma said that it's merging all communication areas to ensure a uniform communication approach that will consolidate Puma's positioning as the fastest sports brand in the market. The closer collaboration is meant to accelerate internal communication and ensure a faster coordination of communication activities.
