Under Armour will be appointing Carolyn Everson and Patrick Whitesell to its board of directors on Feb. 1. In addition, the Baltimore-based sportswear firm has announced that longtime board member Harvey Sanders, who has served on the board since November 2004 and is currently chair of the Human Capital and Compensation Committee, will be retiring on March 31. As previously announced, Stephanie Linnartz will join Under Armour as president, chief executive officer and board member on Feb. 27.

Since last month, Everson has served as a senior advisor for private equity firm Permira. Prior to joining Permira, she served as president of Instacart and, from March to June 2021, as vice president of the Global Business Group at Meta Platforms. Before joining Meta, she held advertising leadership positions at Microsoft and Viacom. Everson is also a board member at The Walt Disney Company and The Coca-Cola Company and a member of the Council of Foreign Relations.

Whitesell has served as executive chairman of global sports and entertainment company Endeavor Group Holdings since October 2017. Previously, he served as Endeavor’s co-chief executive officer and as co-chief executive officer of WME. He also serves on the board of directors of Learfield.
