Under Armour (UA) has signed up Joel Embiid to a five-year shoe deal. The NBA player for the Philadelphia 76ers had been with Adidas since his entrance into the NBA. Embiid, who is 24, is a native of Cameroon and is currently competing in his third NBA season. As part of the contract, Embiid and UA will also partner on charitable initiatives in and around Philadelphia and in Cameroon. At the beginning of the season, Embiid will be wearing UA's HOVR Havoc. The brand's roster of professional basketball players also includes Stephen Curry and Dennis Smith Jr.
