UYN is opening a new store in Peschiera del Garda, a resort town on Italy’s Lake Garda, not far from the city of Verona. The store is housed in the Padiglione degli Ufficiali (Officers’ Pavillion), a 19th-century building that comprises luxurious penthouses and a shopping gallery. The new store features UYN’s so-called Bio-Lab, a large area where customers can learn about the eco-friendly materials used in the brand’s collections. The store furnishing is made entirely with 100 percent recyclable cardboard and uses organic glues derived from corn, potatoes and peas.
The store in Peschiera is the brand’s twelfth, adding to the Italian stores in Milan, Rome, Brescia, Madonna di Campiglio, Trento, Viareggio, Salò, Torbole, Asola, San Ginesio, and one in Zweibrücken in Germany.
UYN, headquartered in Asolo, near the Italian city of Mantua, is planning a series of new openings abroad, Outdoormag.it has reported. A new store will open in Cambridge, U.K., later this month. A first Chinese store will be inaugurated in Beijing in September, the brand’s first outside of Europe, followed by a store in Boston by the end of 2023. Further openings are reportedly planned in Salzburg and Düsseldorf this autumn.
