The Paris 2024 Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (OCOG) has announced Westfield, part of the Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) group, as an official supporter of the Games, the third level in its national marketing program. Westfield has eight shopping centers in France, located in Ile-de-France, Lyon and Lille. Paris 2024 will open its official boutiques there, adding to the two boutiques that have already opened at the Forum des Halles and Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, also owned by the URW group. A communication and animation campaign, dubbed “The place to play,” will take place in the shopping centers for one year, starting from the end of September 2023. Visitors will be able to take part in a series of activities dedicated to the Olympic and Paralympic disciplines. Finally, starting in 2024, the centers will host around 20 Olympic and Paralympic athletes and sporting demonstrations. Customers will also have a chance to win tickets to the Olympic and Paralympic events.
