Wilson was the number one brand of tennis racquets for the 20th consecutive year at the Wimbledon championships, according to Sports Marketing Surveys' 2014 Wimbledon equipment census. At this year's event, the brand had 11 racquets in play in the last 16 men and ladies' singles, namely 34 percent of the racquets at this stage of the tournament. Babolat emerged as the number two racquet brand at Wimbledon and the number one racquet brand among female competitors, with a 33 percent share. Head gained the highest number of racquets compared with last year, increasing its stable by 20. Additionally, with nine champions, Head had the highest percentage of tournament winners, including this year's winner in men's singles, Novak Djokovic. SMS' annual report also documents each brand's time on the main show courts during the tournament. Wilson gained the most exposure, achieving a total of 5,787 minutes, while Head topped show-court exposure in the men's singles competition. Among the shoe brands on the tennis court, Nike and Adidas continued to dominate, sharing 70 percent of total court exposure.
