Wintersteiger has acquired a majority stake in BootDoc, an Austrian specialty brand of insoles, foam booties and compression socks. In its last fiscal year, BootDoc had sales of €1.7 million. While BootDoc will keep its own operations as far as research and development is concerned, the new majority owner will take care of marketing, global distribution and logistics. In return, Wintersteiger will drop the distribution of Conform'able for Austria and Italy, effective January 2012.
