Wintersteiger, the leading manufacturer of ski maintenance and storing solutions as well as of other types of machinery, has posted record sales for the third year in a row. Total sales soared from €101.8 million in 2011 to €126.2 million in 2012. The significant sales increase came substantially from the acquisition of Kohler, a German producer of machinery, back in September 2011. The Austrian company's largest division, the sports unit, had, however, a small drop of €0.1 million to €47.6 million. This amount includes the sales of Bootdoc, an Austrian specialty company for foot analysis and insole solutions which was also bought in 2011.
