World Rugby has appointed Canterbury as the official sports apparel supplier for its 2019 World Cup in Japan and for the global organization. The two-year deal covers the World Cup in Japan, the World Rugby under-20 Championship, elite 15s and sevens match officials, and World Rugby technical official apparel. The partnership allows Canterbury to develop co-branded technical sports apparel for the Rugby World Cup 2019, held in Asia for the first time. This will go on sale from September in Japan and the by the end of the year in other countries. The deal extends Canterbury's association with the Rugby World Cup to three tournaments.
