X-Bionic, the Swiss brand of functional base layers and socks, plans to inaugurate next September the so-called X-Bionic Sphere, a sports complex of one million square meters with training facilities for 27 Olympic sports. It is co-founding the €500 million project, which will also be placed at the disposal of amateur sportsmen. Located near Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, the complex has been used until now as a training ground for equestrian sports. The new project has been developed by Studio A2, an architecture and interior design company from the U.S. A multi-category hotel complex and a restaurant will open in February to be part of the X-Bionic Sphere, which can also be used for conventions. The restaurant will be the first of a series of Apani restaurants, serving food collected by local farmers.
