X-Technology has announced a long-term partnership with Intersocks for the production of its technical X-Socks line, effective with deliveries in January 2019, following the termination of its collaboration with Trerè Innovation for the production and sale of that line and the X-Bionic collection of sports garments. As reported in our Feb. 10 issue, another Italian knitting company, Norman, will make the clothing. X-Technology noted that Intersocks is already producing 35,000 pairs of socks per day for various brands, and that Norman has a capacity for 40,000 items per day. Meanwhile, X-Technology has set up a 30-strong sales force for the markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland for the two lines, supplemented by established agencies. Independent distributors will handle sales in other European countries. Deliveries will be made from two logistics centers in Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
